Anna and Mark went for a wander in the field – a fantastic photo opportunity and none of it contrived or set up…….just as it happened….
Tipis all set up and the celebrations begin!īelow: Anna made a (very entertaining) speech – I love Mark looking on in this picture…īelow: …and as the evening drew in the light was fantastic.

I spotted these two stuffing them down as fast as possible!īelow: Inside the mill – lots of machinary and some fantastic light in here!īelow: before driving out into the countryside and to a huge field in a tiny village next to Mark’s Mum’s. President and CEO, Stark Community Foundation Michael Regelski. ……and on to Houghton Mill as the guests arrive and wait………īelow: bun eating during the reception. If I can I always look for ways to make a relatively ordinary event a little more interesting.īelow: Meanwhile Anna was at The Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon getting ready with her bridesmaids….īelow: I have no idea why this bridesmaid was sitting upside down but it makes an interesting image!īelow: bride with toothbrush packing her case…… Some of my favourites from Mark and Anna’s wedding are below:īelow: It’s not that often that I get the chance to photograph a groom blow drying his hair!!īelow: as ever I love a good reflection shot. I would love to be there to photograph it for you! If you are planning a cool laid back festival style wedding in a tipi and you like my tipi wedding photography then please Mark and Anna also had some very individual country dancing, some wonderful decorations and a very laid back attitude to everything which really made the day go with a swing! Highlights for me included photographing Mark getting ready as well as Anna (groom prep photos seem to be becoming much more popular recently!), photographing inside the wonderful Houghton Mill with it’s old machinary and fantastic light, the dancing which was absolutely top notch and the wonderful early evening light which flooded the tipis and the field for a glorious 20 minutes or so just as the meal finished and everyone was getting ready for the evening celebrations. Their’s was the second tipi wedding I’ve photographed and, if I had the chance, I would love to be a tipi wedding photography specialist! I just love the relaxed almost festival like atmosphere, the smell of the open fire, the twinkling lights, and the wedding tipis themselves just look fantastic – very individual and different!
Anna and Mark’s day was a great example in that they chose two fantastically individual locations – Houghton Mill, and they also gave me the opportunity to indulge in some tipi wedding photography in Mark’s Mum’s field – both of which complimented each other perfectly and really suited Mark and Anna down to the ground! I love the many varied ways in which people celebrate their weddings and, more and more over the last few years, I’ve been lucky enough to be part of some really individual and very personal wedding days. Rolling roofs cover the hockey rinks and the international arena, while a conventional curtain wall is used to clad the high-performance training area and office building.“These are just perfect – exactly how we hoped they’d look!” – Anna and Mark The massing and form of the building was informed by the surrounding landscape. The facility is built into the naturally rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains and adjacent to Canada Olympic Park and its bobsled/luge, skiing and ski jump facilities. Precast concrete, steel columns and glulam beams have been used throughout the building to create a sense of openness. A central public circulation space parallels a sprint track, binds facility components together and provides views and access to the various functional elements. Lightworks uses Mark & Park which saves you.
The facility contains three NHL-size hockey rinks with 300 seats each, an international arena with 3,500 seats, dry-land training facilities, public fitness spaces, administration offices, and conference and banquet facilities. Most editing software need you to mark an in point and an out point to a clip then bring it into the timeline. The center is home to many of Canada’s national and provincial sport organizations - including Hockey Canada, Alpine Canada and WinSport Canada - as well as Canada’s gold-medal-winning women’s hockey program. Located at Canada Olympic Park, the Markin MacPhail Centre is the centerpiece of Canada’s Winter Sports Institute and home to more than 125 elite winter-sport athletes, marrying high-performance training with community recreation in an athlete-centered environment.
